In the hostel  and university at large. ACCIDENT Accidents are defined as unplanned occurrences which result in injuries, fatalities, loss of production or damage to property and assets. The Catalyst Called Excellence

In order to flow with the fast rate at which knowledge itself changes, today’s students, professionals and as individuals must seek to achieve excellence.   The catalyst Called Excellence Excellence is the very opposite of perfectionism. Perfectionism is losing your true self in the demands of society, and trying to emulate a person who is not you and whom you can never become. However, Excellence is being the center of your own universe, and from that grounded, centered position, shining your light into the world by using your unique talents. Academic Excellence  Academic Excellence is the demonstrated ability to perform, achieve, and/or excel in scholastic activities. Ever Wondered How MNCs Work By Collaborating With Their Thousands Of Employees And Resources From All Around The World, And That Too In Real Time? What Do You Think Is The Biggest Wonder Behind This Integration And How Can It Be Leveraged To Drive Organizational Success?

Communication is the "life blood" of any organization, because without it, no single organization can exist or succeed. To succeed therefore, every organization or individual, must ensure that there's effective communication within and between it and it's environment. It's an integral part of any system put in place, which helps to coordinate and perform the various management functions for making any meaningful decisions. Wherever communication ceases, or is lacking, or is of poor quality, the people and the organization involved, suffer. It  is one of the most important levers of management that a company can implement for the formation of teams and  achieving  valuable  performance.  Communication  and management  are  complementary  disciplines  and  strong  business elements for  success.  Management  skills  are  essential  in  a  business, but all equally important are those relati...

CV writing, Interview Questions & Answer Tips

CV writing, Interview Questions & Answer Tips What is a CV? A CV is an official document that contains the profile, educational and career background of a person. In our part of the world, CV and a résumé means the same thing but in other climes, they mean different things entirely. Some of us have been submitting CVs like forever and yet we don't get interview invites. The problem is that your CV is not passing what is known as The 30 seconds Test.  The 30 seconds test simply means that an employer or interviewer will decide if he's going to employ you or not within 30 seconds of perusing your CV.  The Do's  and Donts of CV *packaging; 1. Never start your CV with "Curriculum Vitae". Start with your name boldly written with a larger font. 2. Ensure the address on your CV is the same with the location of the job. It will make interviewers consider you faster. e.g, if the job is in Lagos, apply with a Lagos address. If you don't stay in the sa...

The big question now is: What is the best motivation for employees. A HUGE SALARY or JOB SECURITY. From your perspective, Which do you think is the No.1 motivator.

Studies have revealed that most employees who seek jobs pursue two ( 2) motives majorly. ◾ Either a job that pays  ◾A job that is stable/secure Meeting both or either of the needs can guarantee higher productivity,  reduced turnover, increased profitability and job satisfaction. But the big question now is:  what is the best motivation for employees    A HUGE SALARY or JOB SECURITY From your perspective Which do you think is the No.1 motivator? In as much that Human wants are INSATIABLE. ( Economics perspective) Abraham Maslow also talks about the "5 HIERARCHY of needs".(motivation theory) of which 1/3 has been able to attain. The Peak point of one's career. ...................................... Everyone aspires to get to the peak of their endeavours, one that promotes learning and development. "SATISFACTION" is the hallmark of these theories. Many have been lured into some jobs due to financial benefits and gains yet struggling and grumbling do...

Would you rather work in a startup organization with higher pay or an established multinational organization with lower pay?

In as much that we would want to be quick to conclude that nothing is wrong in the two options. Of course, nothing is outrightly wrong.  However, I think we should make a conscious overview before we leap as there's nothing as bad as starting on a shaky foundation. Most of these startups can be so smart and cunning as to be using money as a "bait" to keep you in the organization.   They understand to some extent the nature of the market and human behaviours and won't mind incurring a lot of "cost" in the "short-run" to sustain the perceived future. Of course, many of us know of Opay, Gokada and others. These are some examples of companies who incurred a lot of cost in the short run to stand the test of time, giving out a lot of promos and free benefits to its customers, yet couldn't make it as government legislations, Management, and other factors affected them greatly and it's employees. It's a dent and a red flag on your CV hopping fr...

Image
Beautiful and Great Arts I must tell you. I've always loved and admired artworks but don't have the time, tools and encouragement to work on them. But with this #lockdown, I'd utilized and has made me evolve into something I can't even explain.  Lately, I've done some works on 3D animations, Picture Animations, Whiteboard Animations, Graphics, Professional Logos, Business cards and others in the world of web development, starting HTML and still studying. Particularly,  I've sketched and painted some digital arts which are all featured on my profile coupled with other artworks and animations. I was Never an artist but already evolving into a #digitalartist . I realized that one can sketch and paint a good portrait of someone in his/her comfort zone just with a phone. I guess it looks cute, right? I it's called picture animations or cartoon animations. Quite easy but requires #consistency and an #eyefordetails ....

Customers are Kings- Should employees be Valued more than Customers in an organization?

Image
The ORGANIZATIONS should build and enhance the trust and morale of Employees by Creating a free flow of information to convince the Employees that the decisions and actions taken by the management are justified, reasonable and free from any Holo effect, amid the surrounding notion that the "customers are always right". The employees and the customers are tools in the hands of every organization.  A means to an End. A mechanism to achieving a partial or complete equilibrium The core of every organization centres around teamwork taking into cognisant their targeted audience as they can be likened to both internal and external forces in generating lead and driving sales. EMPLOYEE PARTICIPATION when fully ENGAGED and COMMITTED should be focused on ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS  No doubt, "Winning in every organization is inevitable if the employees are focused on stimulating, maintaining, and sustaining the organizational Goals. In a bid of creating value, Organi...

The Boss Mindset- You Can be your Own Boss.

Image
Still An ENTHUSIAST But BOSS in the Making? DO YOU SEE WHAT OTHERS ARE NOT SEEING DO YOU LEARN WHAT OTHERS IGNORED TO LEARN DO YOU DARE WHAT OTHERS REFUSED TO DARE ................. THIS is just the situation of a BOSS. To become a boss you must SEE what others are not seeing, LEARN what others ignored to learn, DARE what others refused to dare. Have an idea of what you want to do?  STUDY and LEARN vital things about it and create your own.  OBSERVE also. I've learnt a lot just by OBSERVING from the same people that refused to teach me... it's a challenge I had to defeat. VOLUNTEER and explore while trying to get better.  Brainstorm Technical questions and give feedback.  Be CONSISTENT and PATIENT to see the impression and before u know it you're already doing the IMPOSSIBLE. CONSISTENCY  is very important just as FOCUS and DETERMINATION are crucial. You can be the best and a boss at what you do by CULTIV...
