Immediately after inauguration as the new General Secretary Elect, you called for an official meeting to Address salient issues that need immediate implementation to facilitate the smooth running of the administration and for the benefit the residents at large. A Brief Minute Of The Meeting.

The meeting was scheduled on 17th of February, 2022 and to commence at 8:00 pm prompt. However,  owing to certain logistics the meeting started a few minutes late at the Prayer devotion ground in Mariere hall.

The meeting was spearheaded by ( hall chair) while the ( PRO) led the prayer session. Other members present were ( vice hall chair), ( Gen Sec), (Treasurer),( Social sec), ( welfare Sec), ( Fin Sec) and the (Sport Sec)

The essence of the meeting was to brainstorm on salient issues concerning the hostel and to profer better solutions and innovative ideas on the way forward and also render an account of the internally generated funds from the Excos for record purpose and accountability.

Matters discussed by executives present were  as follows:

- According to the President the internally Generated Revenue from the Excos amounted to #8,000 and some costs were incurred with a balance of #5,500. 

-  The need to have an office (Secretariat) for effective administration instead of hanging around and holding meetings. This is to tactfully mediate between the management and the student by way of receiving direct complaints from the students and possibly have a message box where students can drop their complaints in our absence.

- The need for us to have an official introduction, engagement and proper communication with the management to acquit ourselves and exercise our right and influence adequately. 

In a bid towards achieving these plans, a physical meeting was fixed by the President for us to meet with the management tomorrow by 3 pm prompt.

Additionally, the Welfare Sec to provide refreshments against tomorrow's meeting and a budget of #3000 was proposed.

In the absence of nothing, the curtain was drawn and the meeting was brought to an end with a prayer by the (Gen Sec).
